Doilies, Motifs, Snowflakes, Pendant, Cross and Edging

Mistene enjoyed this round, although she got on autopilot again and had to re-tat the chain 8's a few times because she started to make them 8-p-8 like the other chains in the round.

Jane found it interesting how motif 42 combines elements from other motifs. She likes motif 43 better 'in person' than she did in the book, but found it a bit overcomplicated and muddled even though she did it in one colour, ecru, size 40, Coats Mercer Crochet and not the 2 colours pictured. The triangle is quite a tricky tat and she thinks she probably hasn't done it justice, but it would be useful if you needed a triangle.

Sharon has been distracted by lots of lovely patterns and she finally settled on  the Dianne Doily which can be found at Craftree.

Pop Maria has found the heat has kept her from tatting, although she did manage to keep up with the challenge to tat the snowflakes from Lene Bjorn's 24 Snowflakes in tatting. These are Days 11 and 12.

Diane has lots of company and lots of other things filling her time, but she did get a little more done on Mary Konior's Spinning Wheel Glass Mat that she's working ins size 20 Pond HDT from Marilee Rockley. Even after making this design so many times, Diane still loves the Spinning Wheel and finds it her "go to" pattern that doesn't require much thinking. Maybe it doesn't require much thinking because she has done so many!

Fox is loving the Rectangle doily, which she is tatting in size 50 thread.

Marie added a little tatting around a single clip earring and turned it into a lovely pendant. Monica was a good cross for directional tatting.

Muskaan tatted the Seventeenth Day of December Snowflake from Lene Björn's
24 Snowflakes in Tatting and utilized several techniques to achieve what she had visualized. She forgot to post round 17 of Wiosna 2016, shown here with Super 17 butterfly & Morning Glory. This was a super quick round that she used a ball and shuttle for.

Sue is half way around on this row of her doily, tatting little bits here and there. Every stitch done is one stitch closer to the finish line. She's tatting Mary Konior's Anniversary Edging from Tatting with Visual Patterns in size 20 Christmas Red and she got about 8 inches done of the 3 or 4 feet she'll need to make a bow to go on a wreath.
