Cupcake. Motifs, Bracelet, Doilies, TIAS, Bookmarks, Hairclips, Seahorse, and Heart

Stephanie has joined the challenge and her first item is a cupcake designed by Nancy Tracy. She used vintage size 80 threads because she was determined to have a Chocolate cupcake, with a nice, red cherry and that was the only thread size she had with both colors. The pattern for this bracelet came from Edwige Renaudin and was an Online Tatting Class lesson done in Lizbeth size 20 in black and a purply-pink ombre. The medallion is Wally Sosa's birthday/Superbowl snowflake/medallion for 2014 done in unknown thread. The doily is  from Jan Stawasz's first book:  Tatting Theory and Patterns tatted in Valdani 35-wt. cotton quilting thread.

Sue has day 11 of TIAS done and isn't sure if it's a sailboat or an umbrella.

mb duke loves this motif on Ninetta Caruso's pattern page especially the hearts in the center. The heart motif on top is by Anne Bruvold and together they make a lovely bookmark in variegated Girly Girl thread. The Anne Bruvold heart bookmark was done in vintage Coats & Clark size 70 thread in white, shades of pink, and solid pink. Finally here is what her TIAS looks like after day 9.

Julie visited Granny's Attic and saw lots of tatted laces and although worthy, she couldn't justify buying them.

Grace tatted a rose motif bobby pin for her niece's confirmation. The  centre is Lizbeth Honey Drizzle size 40 with a gold blending filament and Mill Hill beads in honey, while the flower is Lizbeth size 80 Vineyard Harvest. These lovely little earrings are an adaptation of Ruth's heart pattern made in Red Burst size 80 Lizbeth. She made the larger set by adding double stitches to the rings with no other changes to them. Made in Vineyard Harvest in size 80, is the seahorse pattern by Debbie Arnold, which is a gift for her sister in law. Celtic Cross by Lindsay Rogers in Tatting Collage with added beads for definition and sparkle is a planned birthday gift for her sister done in Lizbeth Christmas Green Mix size 80. This rose motif and pearl tatting bookmark is done in medium sage size 40 Lizbeth and Finca size 8 perle cotton.

Diane, thanks to an email and pattern from Carollyn, showed her third graders how to turn a chain into a ring. These third graders are really picking it up. Meanwhile Diane has finished the dark green Spinning Wheel Glass Mat for her mother. Sarah read about Diane's "Future Tatters of America" (her words), and decided to send along motifs for the kids to choose from.

Fox is liking the way this doily is working out. The bigger it gets, the more she likes it.

Kristen is practicing her block tatting and rose techniques. Day 11 of TIAS. She still thinks it's Mary and Joseph. Then there's today's tatting.

Marie has round 6 of her doily done. Row 7 was a fast easy round and now comes all of the motifs for the next row.

Martha thinks Karey Solomon's heart is especially nice because it has this heart with four variations.
