Edgings, Earrings, Doily, Bookmark and Motifs

Gwen is a new participant and she begins with some of the tatting that she did at the Palmetto Tat Days. Golden Leaves earrings designed by Nina Libin using a class kit with 3 ply gold metallic thread, 11/0 seed beads and Garnet and Grapes earrings also designed by Nina Libin using 3 ply metallic thread and 3 mm Garnet beads. Beady Leaves earrings were designed by Jane Eborall and made with Lizbeth size 20 Falling Leaves and 11/0 Japanaese Delicas.
Isabel was the lucky recipient of some charming yellow tatted flower earrings from Wendy at Umi and Tusuru's blog. Wanda has learned both SSSR Single Shuttle Split Rings and Split Chains thanks to the videos by Linda Davies and Anne Bruvold on You Tube and she's kicking herself for not trying them sooner because they really weren't difficult at all. She's finished the fourth round on her doily and still has 2 rounds to go, but it's already looking very pretty.
Bonnie showed us the beginning of her project which turned out to be Eliz Davis' Blooming Trellis bookmark done in Tatskool's HDT Apple Blossom and a co-ordinating pink in size 50.
Diane likes shuttle shaped motifs similar to Anne Bruvold's "Sandra", which she did in Krystle's size 40 HDT. Then she did Kersti Anear's "Stumpy" in size 80 DMC. She decided to use dome more of Krystle's size 40 left and tweaked the width of Stumpy by increasing the count on the center ring of the side clovers. Then she made two more Stumpy motifs in blue using Lizbeth size 40, color #656 and they'll all be sent over to Chris Hinton for a new shuttle idea. Fox is focusing on centres, but she's not sure why. Every motif has one, and there are all kinds of centres.
Kelly has been tatting a lot of edgings for hankies. The first one has had the extra stitching done that turns it into a baby bonnet. The one with the green edging is a gift for Pat.
